The Talented Gardener offers a full hedge and shrub pruning and cutting service, including the seasonal pruning of ornamental trees, conifers and shrubs and managing of boundary hedges.
Major renovation of an overgrown hedge can be achieved over a period of time providing you with a lower maintenance privacy screen for years to come.
Every garden needs regular attention to stay looking good. We don’t all have the time or knowledge to achieve this on our own and this where The Talented Gardener’s knowledge and experience can help.
After our initial free visit to discuss your gardening requirements we will suggest the services we think your garden requires. Maintenance visits can be scheduled as one off, weekly, fortnightly or seasonal or whatever suits your garden and circumstances.
You can leave the whole maintenance process to us or cherry pick the jobs you’d like us to do.
We will carry out all tasks required at the appropriate time, from weeding to pruning to planting to a high standard of work and tidiness.
We will always leave your garden neat and free of green waste, so that you can enjoy use of it, whatever time of year.
We are happy to work at unattended properties, but will agree with you in advance a schedule of tasks to be carried out.
Running from March – October, our popular lawn mowing service is an ever-growing part of The Talented Gardener’s work.
Our regular cutting service is tailored to suit you – choose from either a weekly, fortnightly or monthly cutting service with our regularly serviced petrol mower equipment.
Whilst we do not carry out more in depth lawn condition/feed services, we can recommend specialist local companies who can provide this service for you.
If your garden needs some new planting, whether it’s a new shrub for a border, or you want to achieve a different look or style of planting, The Talented Gardener can help you consider planting designs.
We can draw up a planting plan, which basically combines visual design with horticultural know how, will take into account your plant, look and colour preferences and, most importantly, the location of the planting in relation to the presiding growing conditions.
Terry Mason, who is an RHS qualified practical horticulturalist, will research your requirements and then advise the various options open to you.
We can then undertake purchase of planting on your behalf, if you wish, and the planting itself.
We will also advise of care and maintenance of your new planting, and of course The Talented Gardener can carry out any related maintenance tasks required on a regular basis for you.
If your garden is in a neglected condition, with overgrown shrubs, long grass, poor conditioned lawn, and a jungle of weeds in control of your beds, it would likely benefit from the attention of The Talented Gardener.
We can carry out the clearing and restoration work for you, as frequently as your circumstances permit to get your garden back to being an outdoor living space you can enjoy and be proud of.
From an initial blitz to clear the jungle of weeds, prune shrubs and cut the grass, we will use our practical horticulture skills to identify and restore planting and shrubs and advise you on low maintenance solutions for new planting to get your garden looking wonderful again.
We can recycle your green waste in your own compost or green bins, or you can use our garden waste removal service for your garden waste disposal. All green waste is 100% recycled locally.
We will always sweep and tidy the area of your garden where we have worked once it is complete.
Waste taken includes the following:
